LATIRA
Learning And Teaching In Rural Arctic

Latira started as a joint venture, between teacher educators and researchers at Kennaraháskóli Islands and Høgskolen i Tromsø, dealing with questions concerning education in the rural arctic region. The collaboration covers various fields and levels of research and education and is embedded in a shared professional and personal belief in the value of cooperation and exchange of ideas, results, experience and knowledge. Luleå University of Technology joined the project in 2003.

The project has received funds from Norplus

LATIRA-members have participated in the NERA- congresses and used them as a meeting place for  network-meetings:

  • Tallinn Estonia 2002
  • Copenhagen 2003
  • Reykjavík 2004

For infomation about members' activities see links to NERA - congresses
